Why so Bitter?

Bitter Merch began as a popular clothing company named Bitter Elegance Clothing. The clothing line was created from the inspiration and ambition brought about by a Stephen Crane poem (below), and the emotions brought about by a broken heart.

Because it is bitter,

The popularity of Mr. Bitter (Ryan Gonzales) grew very quickly, mostly because of his involvement with soon-to-be-discovered talent. Helping bands along the way such as Dang We're On Fire (Universal), Dead On The Dance Floor, Afterall, We Are Defiance (Tragic Hero Records: Confide, Greeley Estates), and MayOrWest. These are the five main bands that kept Bitter Elegance/Bitter Merch very busy in the first year of business (and even some today).

What does that mean for you?

We're not sure. So far, the best guess is it just means we're a design studio run by a "bitter-man". Just know one important thing, we will handle your project like professionals, but we know how to have fun in the meantime. We're not some ritzy downtown studio, or some basement-run studio. Who is Team Bitter?

Team Bitter is comprised of designers, coders, illustrators and photographers. Competencies range from intermediate to professional knowledge. We have a small in-house staff and many freelance designers that work under the Bitter Merch name. We're always looking to add Project Wranglers and Designers to our freelance staff, use our contact form.
